HERNE BAY CARNIVAL Road Closure for 9th August 2008

 

The following are closed from 3.45 pm until 5.30 pm

 
  • Richmond Street (between its junctions with Central Parade and Mortimer Street)
  • Ridgeway Cliff (between its junctions with Western Esplanade and Carlton Hill)
  • Selsea Avenue, (between it’s junctions with Western Esplanade and The Broadway)
  • Central Avenue (from the Seafront to Sea Street)
  • Western Esplanade (from its junction with Ridgeway Cliff to Lane End)

The following are closed from 5.30 pm until 8.00 pm

  • Western Esplanade, Lane End, Central Parade, Canterbury Road, High Street, Avenue Road and The Broadway
  • In addition Sea Street will be closed between it’s junctions with Western Avenue and Avenue Road between the times of 6.45pm and 8.30pm
  • This is to enable safer and quicker dispersal of floats and participants.

The following are closed 7.45 pm until 11.45 pm

  • Beacon Road (between its junctions with Beacon Hill and Beltinge Road)

 

Please note that no through traffic allowed at anytime while the road closures are enforced only local residents will be allowed to access these roads.
